1001 Journals
In November of 2009, UCSF Children's Hospital began a program using the 1001 Journals project to provide opportunities for personal expression and to facilitate sharing amongst patients, their families, and the hospital staff who care for them. The results have been amazing.
The journals are helping young patients deal with illness. They provide insight into the patient's experiences and, in many cases, actually serve as a "safe" way for patients and their families to ask for help and support one another.
